About

Outsourced Events needed a full website redesign to match its newly refreshed brand. The old site felt outdated and no longer reflected the company’s direction.

My Role

I worked with a small cross-functional team, collaborating with a Product Owner, UX Designer, and two developers. I helped shape the vision, gather requirements, design the UI, and build a scalable design system.

The Challenge

The client knew they wanted a redesign but lacked a clear direction. We invested time in discovery to define goals, explore ideas, and clarify priorities before moving into design.

Content Audit & Strategy

We audited the site’s structure and content to assess what worked, what didn’t, and what users needed next. This included:

  • Reviewing page structure and Media Centre content

  • Auditing clarity, relevance, and content gaps

  • Benchmarking against industry leaders

This gave us a clear, user-informed strategy moving forward.

Key findings:

  • Clarify hierarchy – Make content easier to scan and navigate

  • Differentiate formats – Use micro-interactions to signal interactivity

  • Structure for performance – Balance UX with content and ad goals

  • Enable soft conversions – Use subtle forms and CTAs to build engagement

Site Map

We mapped out all key pages and user flows to align on structure and reduce ambiguity.

  • Helped the client visualise the full layout

  • Clarified login and registration journeys

  • Provided a reference for developers to plan logic

This kept the team aligned and streamlined implementation.

Wireframes

With the structure defined, we mapped out screens to test the flow and layout.

  • Focused on content priority and user journeys

  • Skipped branding to stay lean and iterate faster

  • Shared wireframes early to align with stakeholders and devs

This helped us validate direction quickly, before investing in visual design.

Design

We intentionally moved away from the old site’s dated, cluttered design and focused on creating a cleaner, faster, and more modern experience.

  • Introduced a minimal, scan-friendly layout

  • Simplified the colour palette and removed the magenta overlay

  • Used relevant, high-impact imagery featuring real OE events and people

The result: A distinct visual language that felt fresh and aligned with the new brand identity.
